Why are you studying human physiology?

"I'm in between that and neuroscience. The decision was so I could take all the pre med classes, but I want to switch to neuro because I actually find psych and cognitive nursing really interesting. I honestly kind of hate it; it's not as enjoyable as other classes. I'm a really creative person, and I am more humanities, but I just push myself through it.”
What objects in your dorm represent your identity or home life?

“I'm a Taurus, so my birthstone is Emerald, and I really like the color green. I have leaves and flowers, and my posters are very nature based. To me, it's really peaceful. I brought some of my stuffed animals, like this one, my sister actually told me to bring it. We call it ‘Little Ena,’ because my sister’s nickname is Ena. My grandma was like, ‘it kind of looks like her,’ and my sister was like, ‘you need to hug her everyday, you need a reminder of me.’ I actually hug it everyday.”

What are you struggling with?

“Balancing sleep, social life, and academics at the same time. I was really sick, like a month ago, and it was when we were meeting new people. I remember being so ill because I would go out and stay up late every night, because then I had to catch up on school. I would get literally three hours of sleep and barely eat too, because I had no time to eat between classes. And I was still going out because I was like, I can't miss out on this. But once I got so sick, I was like, maybe it's best to stay in. I need to find a good balance, and I'm still working on that FOMO. But, you know, I think I just have to be at peace with who I am. And I think the friendships and all that will come later.”
